Once a year, tens of thousands of people gather in Nevada’s Black Rock Desert to create Black Rock City, a temporary metropolis dedicated to community, art, self-expression, and self-reliance. In this crucible of creativity, all are welcome. This book is a compilation of over twenty years of photographs taken through the camera lens of

A. Leo Nash.

At the completion of each Burning Man, the main statue and other art installations are burned. The book is designed to the scaled dimensions of a box of matches. The cover photography depicts sculptural elements and matchsticks covered in ash and dirt of the Nevada desert.
