Once a year, tens of thousands of people gather in Nevada’s Black Rock Desert to create Black Rock City, a temporary metropolis dedicated to community, art, self-expression, and self-reliance. At the completion of each Burning Man, the main statue and other art installations are burned. The book is designed to the scaled dimensions of a box of matches. The cover photography depicts sculptural elements and matchsticks covered in ash and dirt of the Nevada desert.
